Dr. Karyne Wilner PsyDKaryne B. Wilner, PsyD, Director

Karyne is the Director of Integrated Psychological Services Center in Providence, RI and Adjunct Faculty in the Holistic Counseling Program at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. She held the position of Assistant Director of the Institute of Core Energetics from 2001 to 2011, and was Associate Director of the Australian Institute of Core Energetics and Senior Director of the Brazil Institute of Core Energetics from 1994 to 2004. Previous positions included Board Member of the Core Energetics Foundation, Director of Drexel University’s Counseling Center, and Group Co-Coordinator at the Humanistic Psychotherapy Studies Center. She has written numerous journal articles about Core Energetics and psychotherapy.

 

Kuno Bachbauer, MD

Kuno grew up in Austria. Early-on, he was attracted to the combination of therapy, bodywork and spirituality. His path led him to India and then to the USA where he settled in Washington, DC in 1983. After a literally life-changing experience with John Pierrakos M.D., Kuno started Core Energetics Training. He graduated in 1992, and is now a senior faculty member. His passion and specialty is to relate the Core Energetics process to the latest medical understanding of the connection between mind, body and emotions.

Irene Durand Bryan, PhD

Irene, a licensed psychologist, graduated from Catholic University Andres Bello in 1977 in Caracas, Venezuela. Her Internship at Boston City Hospital was sponsored by Boston University Medical School. Irene has held teaching appointments with Boston University, Cambridge College, and Harvard University and most recently at the Core Energetics Institute where she is on the senior faculty. She is experienced in community mental health, in-patient care, the forensic field, and alcohol and drug dependency. As a graduated of the Institute, she attests to the profound personal and professional impact of this program. She currently practices in Massachusetts.

Kate Holt, RN, CCEP

Kate is a senior faculty member of the Institute of Core Energetics and an international teacher. She has a private practice in Marlton, New Jersey and is the founder/director of the Philadelphia/New Jersey Core Energetics Training Program. She created the Mourning Out Loud workshops for people who want to heal from loss and has developed the Holistic Smoking Cessation Program, which incorporates hypnosis, energy techniques and support. Chosen by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence – New Jersey as a 2009 leader-advocate, Kate also offers consultations with Holistic Practitioners to support them in promoting themselves and their work.

 

Chris Jacobs, MBA, CCEP, EFT-ADV

Helps clients heal their lives. Provides an experiential approach, blending 1) the Psychology and Spirituality of Core Energetics and Gestalt work; 2) the practicality of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique); and 3) corporate experience (20 years in Investments and Finance).

 

Barra Kahn

Barra Kahn has a life-long affinity for somatics work. She has been teaching yoga for over 40 years, and was a professional dancer for more than a decade. Committed to being a conduit for change, her training and advanced certification in Core Energetics has brought together her graduate degree in Psychology and her love of exploring the language of the body. Barra is on the faculty of the Institute of Core Energetics and also a professor of Communication at George Mason University with a focus on Nonverbal Communication skills both for groups and individuals.  For nine years, Barra was on the faculty and Artistic Director of The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.  As such, she is adept at assisting the healing of deep wounds and inner conflicts by melding the powerful work of Core Energetics with her other creative modalities. Barra is a member of the USABP (United States Association of Body Psychotherapists).

Lynn Kreaden

Lynn is the president of Lifeworks Center NY. She is Natural Health Consultant with certification from the Barbara Brennan School of Healing, the Institute of Core Energetics, Zengar Institute and One Spirit Learning Alliance. She leads workshops, training seminars and process groups internationally focusing on the life energy and sexuality. She is in private practice in New York City. Her passion is to help create deep contact on every level of being through relationship.

Martha Powers

Martha is a clinical social worker who did her initial training at Columbia University and then trained in Core Energetics, graduating in 2009. Martha assisted Dr. Wilner in her first professional training program in Rhode Island and has co-lead a Living Core Program with Dr. Wilner, also in Rhode Island. She has done two Core-oriented workshops with national professional organizations (Museum Store Association and the National Association of Trial Lawyer Executives). She has had a full-time private practice in Providence for 7 years; she enjoys implementing Core Energetics with her
