MODULE 1 –  BODY THERAPY TRAINING 14 CE Credits
Friday Sept. 26 – Sunday Sept 28, 2014

Body Consciousness

  • ·       Experience the early movements of the developing child: cell vibration and breathing, navel radiation, sucking reflex, creeping and crawling.
  • ·       Learn healthy movements that underlie somatic interventions and restore integration.
  • ·       Discover how the skeletal system, bones, and joints relate to gravity, provide support and enhance movement.
  • ·       Understand the relationship between attachment theory and neuroscience.
  • ·       Explore the neurobiology of the heart and brain.

Psychosomatics, Health, and Wellness 

  • Identify emotions that underlie specific illnesses.
  • Learn the physiology of stress and its relationship to the mask and lower self.
  • Review theories supporting a mind-body connection.
  • Explore the cutting edge work of psycho-neuro-immunologists and the impact of emotion on cancer and heart disease.
  • Learn how energy flow provides health maintenance.
  • Identify disease and illness vulnerabilities that correspond to each character structure.

MODULE 2 – THE THERAPY PROCESS – 14 CE Credits
Friday Nov. 7 – Sunday Nov 9, 2014

Ego Functions and the Core: Manifesting the Creative Self

  • ·      Identify the role of the ego in promoting growth and change.
  • ·      Differentiate between a healthy, disciplined ego and an unhealthy, unfocused ego.
  • Engage in exercises that demonstrate a process by which the negative ego is transformed.
  • Learn how the creative ego helps individuals attain self-responsibility and achieve life goals.
  • Explore the ego in the body.
  • Discuss existing misconceptions about the ego.

The Six Stages of Holistic Therapy  

  • Learn how to work with a client from beginning to end, passing through each of the six stages of holistic therapy.
  • Participate in practice sessions that entail creating a holding environment, confronting the mask, releasing lower self material, transforming it, finding one’s life path, and achieving a healthy separation from the therapist.
  • Explore a process by which behavior that is the result of childhood harm and abuse is transformed, – so that love and pleasure can be experienced at the highest level.
  • Give permission for lower self expression and help clients tolerate involuntary muscle movements and unburied aggression.
  • Experience self-responsibility, choice, creativity, truth, and higher consciousness within the higher self, using visualization, meditation, prayer, and ritual.
  • Evaluate what stage the client is in and experience the natural progression from one stage to the next.

MODULE 3 – STORIES BODIES TELL  – 14 CE Credits
Friday Jan. 16 – Sunday Jan. 18, 2015

Core Energetic Body Readings

  • Develop skill in core energetic and bioenergetic body reading.
  • Learn how nurture, nature, culture, energy, and unconscious processes shape bodies.
  • Read the body’s energy flow, muscular blocks, posture, harmony, aura, chakras, and developmental stages, to understand a person’s character, current behavior, and early wounding.
  • Discover the frozen history in the body.
  • Find out what the skin, fat, eyes, height, coloring, facial expression, and temperature reveal.

Creating a Treatment Plan  & Practice Sessions

  • Develop body-reading skills and construct a treatment plan based on the findings.
  • Approach a body reading with sensitivity and create safety.
  • Review techniques to use with each of the five energy types.
  • ·      Review models for taking an initial history, assessing ego strength, and identifying current resources.
  • ·      Conduct ongoing assessments using the body as a tool at various points in the therapy.
  • ·      Working in dyads, practice applying a well-designed treatment plan for 2 of the 5 character types.

MODULE 4  — HOLISTIC GROUP PROCESS 14 CE Credits
Friday March 20 – Sunday March 22, 2015

Transference and Group Therapy

  • Obtain an in depth understanding of the role the therapist plays in eliciting transference and its importance in personal growth and healing.
  • Learn to approach transference using verbal and body therapy techniques.
  • Explore the maladaptive behaviors that clients present based on transference (I am right, you are wrong; I am weak, take care of me).
  • Learn about countertransference (the manipulative therapist, the helpless therapist, the know-it-all therapist).
  • Gain experience with transference in practice sessions with other participants.
  • Discuss group methods, ethics, guidelines, and selection of members.

Core Energetics Group Process

  • Learn how to build a healthy container and a significant and memorable group experience.
  • Learn to read the group’s energy field and increase the energy in a group.
  • Experience a group mandala using energy techniques that enhance cohesion.
  • Conduct the group in the here and now.
  • Unearth relational dynamics between group members.
  • Facilitate the individual process in a group.
  • Integrate body, talk, and mindfulness practices.
  • Help group members confront their masks and release and transform negative energy.

MODULE 5 – FOCUS ON RELATIONSHIPS – 14 CE Credits
Friday April 17 – Sun. April 19, 2015

Sexuality and the Life Force

  • Learn techniques to heal sexual issues that clients bring into therapy.
  • Review techniques that unify the heart and pelvis, release blocked energy from the pelvis, and erase negative beliefs about sex from the mind.
  • Discover how to balance active and receptive sexual energies.
  • Explore methods to enhance pleasure and take joy in sexuality.
  • Understand the connection between sexuality, physical health, mental health, and the life force. 
  • Explore the process of connecting to and surrendering to sexual feelings.
  • Experience the relationship between sex and intimacy.
  • Use fantasies and dreams to explore sex/love issues.

Holistic Couples Therapy Transforms Relationships 

  • Focus upon the deepest aspects of love, sex and eros.
  • Learn methods to help couples transform their negativity and free themselves from blame and judgment.
  • Use tools that move love to a deeper level, open the heart, enhance communications, and build trust.
  • Help couples heal from affairs, deal with sexual disappointment, and handle anger. 
  • Use body readings to ascertain unconscious conflicts in the relationship.
  • Teach couples to engage in body therapy exercises working together.

Friday June 19 –  Sunday June 21, 2015

 

Your Leadership as a Core Therapist

 

  • Step into your leadership as a core energetic therapist.
  • Focus on therapeutic integrity, ethics, and responsibility.
  • Explore the power differential in therapy and the challenges of multiple relationships.
  • Claim your personal power and assertiveness as a leader.
  • Identify images of authority that you hold and your beliefs about authority.
  • Help patients experience their own authority and leadership.
  • Lead from the heart and not from the will.

 

 Your Life Plan

 

  • Describe your experience of personal transformation during the training.
  •  Consider how your personal goals may have changed.
  • Identify the spiritual principles that have guided your process.
  • Specify your experience of divine will, transpersonal energies, and the higher power in your life.
  • Share life task as you understand it at this moment in time.
  • Presentation of final projects and/or videos of work with a client.
